Presentation transcript:

Plan on no more than 10 minutes (no more than 8 slides) Project title All Your Names

Problem space & Project description Importance of problem space How do people deal with this problem today? Description of your problem space/project as a human-centered design challenge Who will care about your solution? Who will your solution effect? How does it address the problem?

Related Work What other projects relate to this one? Commercial or research What ideas does it draw on and who has worked on them? Who could you go to for help/advice What makes this project novel/interesting? (this should not be identical to the first presentation discussion of related work)

Fieldwork Findings What did you do? What data did you collect? Who did you talk to? What did you learn from your fieldwork? What further fieldwork is needed?

Basic Scenario Storyboard of the product in use This slide (or two) should be entirely in figures/pictures/diagrams The idea is to really convey how the appropriate user for your project will actually interact with it Include a description of how your fieldwork or other research/conversations have changed or influenced your thinking about the product

Architecture What are basic components of your product? How do they interact? What information flows between them? Over what channels? Use the scenario as an example You definitely should use a figure here

Next Steps (for solution sketch/prototype presentation scheduled for next week) What medium will you use for your prototype? (web, flash, video, stickies, etc.) How will you iterate on your prototype and the UI? Who will you ask to provide feedback on your prototype and the UI? Where will you test your prototype and the UI? What questions do you have about your system architecture?
