Visualizing a scene from The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Underline a strong action verb. But I just stood there, frozen in fear, as the monster charged her.

Circle a sound word or any word the author uses in place of “said.” She caught my eyes, managed to choke out one last word: “Go!”

Put a nose above anything that smells. (On the back page) The smell of gasoline stung my nose.

Write the letter S next to any details about the setting. We’d reached the crest of the hill.

Put a box around a comparison (simile or metaphor). The bull-man stormed past like a freight train.
