Making sustainable chocolate the norm Forever Chocolate Making sustainable chocolate the norm

Mission Forever Chocolate We will lead a movement to make sustainable chocolate the norm, so that the chocolate we all love will be around for generations to come. Our mission: We will lead a movement to make sustainable chocolate the norm, so that the chocolate we all love will be around for generations to come. Most importantly, note the phrase – we will lead a movement. I cannot overemphasize that a movement of the entire industry with the support of governments and non-government organizations will be crucial to achieving lasting change for our industry – to guarantee a Forever Chocolate world. We cannot do this alone. I’d like to share with you the following film to introduce what we will do (show animation film – next slide) 2/24/2019

Forever Chocolate To highlight the targets you just saw in the film – By 2025: We will eradicate child labor from our supply chain We will lift more than 500,000 cocoa farmers out of poverty We will be carbon and forest positive We will have 100% sustainable ingredients in all of our products Click through to next part of this slide: We will go into this detail in just a bit, but I want to emphasize HOW we will approach tackling these challenges 2/24/2019

PARTNERSHIPS Forever Chocolate How We also need external commitment to join the movement, so we will create partnerships: 2/24/2019

We will start distributing in December this year to Biopartenaire farmers and local schools.- Each family unit means clean water for a family of five for 3 years. Each school unit, clean water for 50 children for 3 years. All together, about 12,000 beneficiaries.- In addition, we are ordering units for about 400 farm families in Cameroon.- But there are many more families to reach. 120 LifeStraw community filters

One problem... two levels Water for Life Water for Life Farming Communities Water for Life Our Communities For cocoa farming communities. For the communities where we live and work.- Because water is not just a problem in Africa. It concerns us all.  February 24, 2019
