First Year Experience Defined as: Supporting a new to MSJC experience New to college or new to MSJC What are you already doing to support an FTIC? Elements of an FYE: At scale – need to develop a plan Defined exemptions Not just an orientation – course based Generally 8-16 weeks Taught by counselors and faculty Best if face-to-face Includes “how to do college”, study habits, career exploration and making a connection with a faculty ad staff member

Professional Development for Faculty (and Staff?) Defined as: A series of workshops to support faculty in staff in increasing student success What are you already doing to support professional development?
