CONSENSUS BUILDING MEETING The adoption of the NHP, the operationalization of the NHAct & the finalization of the SSHDP 2016-2020

Definition of sensitization/ consensus building. This meeting is an “attempt to make oneself or others aware of and responsive to certain ideas, events, situation or phenomenon” (BD) The objective is to solicit your support in disseminating the provision of the NHAct & NHP having convinced you that the adoption of the NHP & operationalization of the NHAct is the only way to go in order to improve the delivery of Health services.

PURPOSE OF MEETING To get a buy in from all stakeholders. Based on my experience, this is the most important meeting in the Health Sector in a long while. We need to strategize together and agree if change of strategy will be necessary after this meetings. Therefore, you are all the “must attend” individuals.

EXPECTED OUTCOME. It is expected that you as stakeholders will fully participate in consensus building while equipping you with more knowledge about policies and be able to disseminate and implement through strategic and operational plans.

WHY WE INVITED YOU. You are the closest to the problems of health care service delivery. We want you to tell us what you think, your perspectives, share your views and at the same time weigh in to those other views, what resonates & what doesn't. We need you to speak out, because that is the only way you catch the attention of superior who have the power to solve the problems and bring your career to the next level.

WHY WE INVITED YOU cont…. Your experience is pertinent to this situation. But also lean on evidence! To guide the future of the health sector, we need to look at its past (situation analysis). Be agile- intellectually curious, ready to learn from others in a communicative and collaborative ways.. Am for a balanced view, be open to change and have a high quality standard

WHY WE INVITED YOU cont…. We need to understand when old ways of doing things no longer serve you or the health sector. Finally, we are going to set realistic targets.

LETS GET STARTED.!
