Strategy Monitor Comprehension- Good readers monitor their comprehension. They stop when they have a problem and use self correction techniques to help them understand the text.

Skill Summarize- As you read you should summarize the most important ideas in the selection to keep track of what has happened and to improve your understanding.

Superstitious Having beliefs based on an unreasoning fear of the unknown. Many people are superstitious about black cats.
