Proposal #1: AT Scenarios - low BT breakdown and startup, and discharge development C. Kessel, PPPL Standard breakdown is done at 5.4 T If lower BT is desired, it is lowered as the discharge progresses In order to have a lower BT for the full discharge, new breakdown/startup recipes must be set up Can be done in the “no auxiliary heating” phase of the run Establish similar rampup scenarios as previously done for AT discharges, slower rampups (250, 500, 750, 1000 ms) Later in run campaign Utilize LH in L-mode rampup with lower BT, test predictions If 40 MHz campaign then also pursue ICRF heating in the lower BT discharges (possibly 2010)
