GISFI #5 Meeting Report: SIG (Special Interest Group) Company: VNL Author(s): Krishna Sirohi Contact information: krishna.sirohi@vnl.in, +919899488800 Purpose: Approval Doc. number GISIF#XX, Date

SIG Sub-Working Group : QoS Progress Scope and the progress so far was presented by Ashutosh (NIKSUN), SWG Chair. The baseline document is planned to be converted into Technical Report on QoS. QoS Requirements of the emerging carrier grade WLAN and its interworking with Cellular networks is added as new work item. Indian ISP’s specific requirements are expected to be address under this SWG. Decisions QoS will continue to be as SWG. All the work related to QoS in any other WG are to be address by SWG-QoS in SIG. At some appropriate time later (on achieving critical mass) SWG-QoS will be converted as WG-QoS. GE-2010xxxx GISFI#XX, Date

SIG Sub-Working Group : Security Progress Scope and the progress so far was presented by Anand(NEC), SWG Chair. A technical report on current state of Security mechanisms in WLAN (based on 802.11x technology) is to be prepared and will be submitted to interest user groups. NEC and VNL committed their contribution in this regard. Others have been requested to contribute. IIIT-A is requested to come further contribution on child cyber security. Security requirement with regard to WLAN and its interworking with Cellular Network interworking are to be further studied in this SWG Decisions Security SWG in SIG will continue in current form. All the work related to QoS in any other WG are to be address by SWG-Security in SIG. At some appropriate time later (on achieving critical mass) SWG-Security will be converted as WG-QoS. GE-2010xxxx GISFI#XX, Date

SIG Sub-Working Group : Food Security Progress No Progress in this meeting Decisions Continue to be SWG on Food Security but activity is suspended till the further contributions are received on this topic. GE-2010xxxx GISFI#XX, Date

SIG Sub-Working Group : Wireless Robotics Proposed to introduce new SWG in SIG on the standardization on Wireless Robotics TCS presented the details of ETSI meeting held on this subject. Various aspects on potential standardization scope in wireless robotics were discussed, TCS will present more details on the subject during the next meeting. Depending on the discussion, decision to form a SWG on this topic. GE-2010xxxx GISFI#XX, Date
