The Allies were the army fighting against the Axis Powers in Who were the Allies? ? The Allies were the army fighting against the Axis Powers in World War II.

Which countries were in the Allies? The main Allies were Britain, France, America and Russia.

Why did Britain start fighting? Britain started fighting because Germany invaded Poland when they had promised Britain they wouldn’t.

Why did Russia start fighting? Russia started fighting because Germany had agreed to split Poland with them but Germany took it all.

Why did France start fighting? France started fighting because they knew Britain were right and they didn’t want Germany conquering any more countries.

Why did America start fighting? America started fighting when the Japanese (who were part of the Axis Powers) bombed Pearl Harbour in Hawaii. It caused a lot of destruction and lots of people were killed or wounded.
