Introducing Nearpod Nearpod is an interactive classroom tool for teachers to engage students with interactive lessons. www.nearpod.com

Nearpod Nearpod is a interactive presentation tool that mirrors your presentation to students. It enables you to create or upload a presentation online, add interactive features and then push out to students. Students access Nearpod with a special code. You can walk students through an interactive presentation that encompasses a quiz, a poll, drawings etc. controlling what they see. Available for iDevices, Android, Windows 8, PC and also available as a Chromebook app.

Advantages of Nearpod Presentations are interactive. The presenter controls the presentation. Nearpod indicates how well students have understood the lesson. Can be used as a ‘Flipped Lesson’. Enhances shared learning. It’s mobile – easy to access on smartphones!

There is a cost for some of the more advanced features such as access to already completed public presentations. Internet access is required!

What’s on offer…. Host and create presentations. Allows you to search for already completed presentations- this is at a cost. Join a lesson. Upload or create a presentation. This is where Nearpod stores reports of activity within your lesson.

Create a presentation To create a presentation you can: Click on My Library, New & add lesson OR Click on Create & add slide

Populate your slide… Add: Text Video Images Or upload files of your choice from your PC.

Adding an activity.. Draw It, Collaborate & Quiz

Launch a lesson… Go to My Library and hoover over the presentation you wish to share 2 options will become available and select Live session A code will appear and students can use this to access the presentation. Students simply go to Nearpod.com and type in the code.

Go Create !! A presentation with: 6 slides 3 activities subject of your choice
