Fig E1 Regulatory activity in the chromosome 11q13.5 locus containing the GWAS-reported SNPs rs2155219,E4 rs7130588,E5 and rs7927894.E6 From the UCSC genome browser, we could identify regulatory elements in this 35-kb locus with high reported enhancer activity, as shown by active histone marks, such as H3K27ac and H3K4me1, although not for H3KMe3, which marks for poised enhancer sites. The locus conserved in the mammalian genome also contains DNaseI hyperactivity clusters, which are crucial for transcription factor binding, which initiates and regulates gene expression.
