Process intensification involves combining separate unit operations into a single piece of equipment resulting in a more efficient and economical manufacturing. The current research activities at PSDC are related to process intensification using reactive distillation, heat integrated RD columns, reactive divided wall columns and thermally coupled reactive distillation configurations.
