Disclaimer Directions are the way I tell you how to be successful. I expect you to ask questions if you do not understand my directions. If you follow my directions, you will earn an “A” in the class.

Cornell Notes (format) Without tearing out the holes, take out a clean sheet of paper. Format the paper for Cornell Notes (see right)

Cornell Notes (heading) Write a proper heading at the top of your paper on the right hand side. Your first and last name should be at the top; both should be on the same line The date should be under your name, written without any abbreviations (for example-February 7, 2007) The period should be under the date, written without any abbreviations

What to Write If a teacher says: Write in your planner: Your first project, the campus map, will be due on February 15th. It will take one week to do a good job. Do the best you can, since it is your first assignment. Feb 15th Campus map due

If You Don’t “Get It” A book says: What do you do? The rationalization of maintaining a bus analyzer in a retail clothing vendor’s downtown shop defies logistics. Raise your hand. Summarize what you know. Quote the parts that you don’t know, and ask for an clarification. You don’t understand!
