Hargrave JROTC Falcon Battalion New Caney Piney Woods Skills Competition 3 DEC 2016 Event New Caney High School Army JROTC cordially invites YOU to attend the 5th Annual Piney Woods Drill Meet to be held 03 December 2016 at New Caney High School; 21650 Loop 494; New Caney, Texas 77357. Communication Objectives: This competition will be an open concept. All events will be first come first serve basis. There will be a sign up sheet at each event to control the flow of competitors. All events MUST / WILL be completed by 1500 . Activities: Drill, Unarmed* Color Guard, Coed* Color Guard, Female* PT (Male)* PT (Female)* Academics* Obstacle Course* Orienteering* Swim Relay* Tug-of-War Key Take-Aways: I feel our Battalion did great overall. We experienced a few hiccups, but ultimately executed every site just as we planned, now that it's over, I think I'll mostly remember the teams dedication to hard work. I’ve learned a lot about our Cadets through tough competitions, and I think that's what makes The Falcon Battalion so awesome. Regardless of the outcome, those are the Cadets that ultimately sacrificed for one another, for the Battalion and out of 18 Schools around the southwest region of Texas, Hargrave took home the 3rd place trophy overall for CSM Linton's last skills meet. The Falcon Battalion sent him out on top and with a number Two ranking against 6A & 7A in Houston regional JROTC programs in 5th Brigade.
