Transition A change in status from behaving primarily as a student to assuming emergent adult roles in the community Plan should be made before age 14

Outcomes of LD Same academic and social problems continue into adulthood May change their form slightly, but for the most part, LD is a lifelong condition Related with major phases in life: High DO rates Higher underemployment  below their skills Greater Dependency to others
