HISTORY Mindanao State University’s flagship campus for Science and Technology 1956 Iligan City High School was transformed into Lanao Technical School by Republic Act (RA) 1562 1965 Made into a vocational school and renamed as Northern Mindanao Institute of Technology (NMIT) through RA 4626 1968 RA 5363 renamed NMIT to Iligan Institute of Technology, integrating it as a unit of Mindanao State University 1975 A comprehensive reorganization plan made MSU-IIT an autonomous campus of Mindanao State University under BOR Resolution No. 894
