Thurs 9-24 and Fri 9-25 Review and Major Quiz Mrs. Wilson

Objectives Practice mole conversions (grams, moles, representative particles). Practice stoichiometry problem solving and percent yield calculations. Assess your knowledge of mole conversions, stoichiometry, and percent yield. Homework: Study for Exam 1 next class (covers everything since the first day of school) **You can use 1 3x5 handwritten index card – written on both sides – and turned in with your test.

agenda Mole Conversions and Stoichiometry Race (Maybe a Kahoot or two?) Major Quiz

Mole conversions/stoich race In pairs – share the paper(s) with your group. One person will come up and take a green card from the board. NO TAKEBACKS.  Flip it over with your partner at your table and write your work in one square of the handout. Write the question # and the answer in the indicated boxes – with appropriate unit and sig figs. Come up to *me* WITH the card and I will check your work and sign off. If it’s all correct – you can select another card. If it isn’t – you have to go back and rework your answer. Switch off questions between the two of you so one person coaches and the other person writes.

Major quiz Please use a calculator and a periodic table. No questions may be asked or answered. Please do your own work. No notes may be used other than the periodic table. Show all your work. Use sig fig rounding rules and an appropriate unit after your answer. Please show your work neatly. Please follow the LASA honor code.
