Aim of the presentation: Supporting the Incredible Years® Trained Workforce – a Flintshire update Aim of the presentation: The importance of Supervision, Consultation and Peer Support Challenges Successes The Future

The importance of Supervision, Consultation and Peer Support

Quality Training, Supervision, Ongoing Monitoring, and Agency Support: Key Ingredients to Implementing The Incredible Years® Programs with Fidelity “In order to obtain similar results to those published by the developer of a program, attention must be given to supervising the quality of the implementation of that program. It is important to assure that the program is delivered with the highest degree of fidelity possible. Fidelity means that the program is delivered in its entirety, using all the components and therapeutic processes recommended by the developer.”

Successes…

Success Incredible Years® Parents and Babies Master Class “Just wanted to let you know how well our first session went for Incredible Years® Baby.  Following the Master Class I attended I felt more confident and motivated to deliver the course.  The Vignettes were looked at in detail and we were encouraged to look at them in a different way and use them for our advantage.  To promote discussion either by noticing the differences and challenges or being able to relate to the new parents on screen.  They were introduced as “really lovely clips of new parents who…….” Gail and I enjoyed prepping for the course and being able to choose a number of vignettes that would work within our session.  We were also able to show  further clips that related to the parents discussion . I really felt the Master Class was a great idea and certainly encouraged me to deliver with fidelity.” Katie Moore – Flying Start Health Visitor

Success Incredible Years® Preschool Basic in Westwood Primary School and the use of WEMWBS 3 programmes delivered 25 parents engaged 100% improved WEMWBS scores Identification of vulnerable parents Support implemented

Feedback from Parents at Westwood… I would recommend to people as it has helped me in many ways. This course should be mandatory for all parents. This course has helped me be a lot calmer at home. This course has helped me a lot with dealing with my children’s behaviour. Keep doing these courses. It would definitely make a difference to other families. The differences because of this course have been great and things are a lot less stressful for the whole family.
