The vertical line indicates the passing of an infertility mandate with ART coverage in New Jersey or Connecticut. “Non-mandate” refers to states without mandates for infertility coverage during the study period located in the Northeast census region, including Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.
