Tips for a Successful Year Take Care of Yourselves: Sleep and Diet, Work and Leisure, etc. Set reasonable goals and work to achieve them. Get organized—agenda use, calendar, study space, note taking, check ASPEN etc. School is preparation for the real world—half the battle is showing up (attendance)! If you are falling behind in your grades, get help early.
Academic Expectations Every student is expected to maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher. Complete all homework and class work when assigned. Stay after school if you have lower than a C in a class. Take at least 1 AP class or intensified course.
Success In order to achieve success at BHS you have to: Work Hard, no one is going to give you anything for free Be self-disciplined- Its not mom and dad’s job to do your homework and class work, it is your job. Check ASPEN, don’t just guess what your grade is. If you need help, ask someone who can actually help you like your teacher.
