Peek At Our Week A Peek at Our Week Teacher’s Desk Mark Your Calendar Michelle Lewis 1st Grade mlirette@assumptionschools.com Peek At Our Week September 4-7, 2018 WEEKLY HOMEWORK A Peek at Our Week Monday -Wednesday Map Skills Take home project ( Sent home last Wednesday  ) Social Living: Students will use their knowledge of map skills to create a map of a familiar place. Also, we will go on a “treasure hunt” and use cardinal directions to travel around the school and unlock clues to find a mystery treasure that students can take home. (Standard 3 – 1.3.3) Thursday Large Map Take Home Project due Thursday, September 6 Writing: Students will work on writing a complete sentence that includes a noun and a verb, as well as leaving spaces in between words to make their writing more legible. (Standards S/L 1.6 and L1.1j) From Teacher’s Desk the I am so excited about this week and have been making plans for our treasure hunt for quite some time. It will be incredible to behold the wonderment, zeal, and fun that your child will express while making use of their map skills knowledge to solve clues and apply deductive reasoning.
