CAWG survey Results & Review Agenda Item 3: CAWG survey Results & Review

CAWG Wind Survey Overview Survey focus: Business as Usual future Feb 28: SPP had received all initial responses March 2: Sent out first draft of survey CAWG ESWG March 10: CAWG conference call March 11 - 17: Siting plan developed from survey March 28: ESWG endorsement requested

CAWG Survey – Wind Generation Net Additions & Removals -> change to “Known wind plans in-service by 2012” Additional Wind Added in Siting Plan -> change to “Additional wind added to meet targets” 9,965 should be rounded up to 9,966 to match the pie chart, or vice-versa

CAWG Survey – Renewable Energy Larger font sizes

Wind Siting Plan Future 1: Business as Usual Targets provided in wind survey 9,965 MW wind 14.4% renewable req. Future 2: EPA Rules with Additional Wind 20% RES requirement 13,784 MW wind Make sure 9,965 consistent with 9,966 or whatever throughout

Wind Siting Allocation ITP10 siting utilizes similar approach as ITP20 siting plan Additional wind to meet targets distributed to NE, KS, OK, and TX sites Capacity factors pulled from 2005 NREL dataset Based on 100 meter hub heights
