Today in BCP NEWS FLINT WATER CRISIS! THE BUSINESS CONTINUITY SOURCE February 5th 2016 THE BUSINESS CONTINUITY SOURCE - Since 2015 FLINT WATER CRISIS! What Went Wrong Lead and unsafe levels of chloride found in Flint water posed serious health risks to residents of Flint. Residents were informed that the water was safe to use. Residents are speaking out as evidence of neglected indicators were ignored by state and local officials. Environmental officials from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) bear primary responsibility for what happened. GM Affected by Flint Water Crisis! Toxic chemicals found in Flint water affected thousands of GM Vehicles in production. The toxic water caused corrosion on parts manufactured by GM. The only option for GM was to break the contract with Flint Water, and use Detroit water instead. Corrosion in pipes caused by toxic water in Flint ELMWOOD STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT RISK On February 12, over fifty fourth and fifth grade students attended a workshop about risk. These students are the first in the nation to participate in the workshop, aimed at increasing exposure to business practices and teaching kids how to consider risk in their every day lives.
