Greater Mankato Growth, Inc.

2007/2008 PRESENT Micropolitan Statistical Area Limited economic data, lists and performance Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) Data and rankings: Real GDP, #2 (UM) Jobs Gains, #1, +20% Capital Investments Population Increase, 100,939, 10.2% The flow… First…a fly-over of the collective organization And then…a deeper dive into each of the three business units… beginning with Anna Thill, President of Visit Mankato (where our focus is on the tourism economy), followed by Megan Flanagan our City Center Partnership Director (our concentrated, laser focus on a critical area of ANY regional community – it’s downtown), and we’ll close with Greater Mankato Growth (and our work in that business unit on the more traditional economic development work which we do in partnership with you and our cities and counties across our Greater Mankato regional marketplace). And after all that is complete (hopefully not more than 15 minutes)…we look forward to engaging in some Q & A with you. So…first… GMG Inc. is an INTEGRATED organization. The goals and message are the same for all business units, the delivery and presentation to each customer segment differs. “we tailor to our audience” But this unique approach (only of its kind in the state) allows us to operate as ONE Business Development organization…harnessing the collective ability of our business community and the full organization.

Structurally how we look…and as necessary, are able to deploy expert staff across business units as well as “centralize” services when and where they are better leveraged…for example, finance and human resource functions, public affairs work, etc.
