Recap of Reuse Plan Studies INFRASTRUCTURE Recap of Reuse Plan Studies Planning-level review of transportation, infrastructure, and flood control Recommended improvements to these systems and next steps for further evaluation Identified preliminary capital costs for infrastructure improvements and upgrades

INFRASTRUCTURE Recap of Some Capital Projects Identified in Reuse Plan Completion of the partially funded COE flood protection project Water system upgrades including metering of buildings Wastewater system upgrades Stormwater system improvements Northern roadway connection

INFRASTRUCTURE 3 Types of Infrastructure Costs Capital costs for projects required to support the Reuse Plan – some of this is known and the costs will increase Capital costs for upgrades to infrastructure systems to meet City or other standards – this is not known Maintenance and operational costs – some of this is known

INFRASTRUCTURE Current Scope of Work - from Planning to Implementation Partner with the City of Hampton to explore potential for City providing basic municipal services Partner with the City of Newport News to explore potential for City providing maintenance and operation of water system Meet with Dominion Virginia Power to further discuss the disposition of the electrical distribution system

INFRASTRUCTURE Progress Report City of Hampton has partnered with the FMFADA regarding disposition of infrastructure and potentially providing municipal services – no agreement has been made yet Initial meetings with City Manager and staff – more meetings are to come Met with Fort Monroe staff regarding flooding history and the flood protection project status
