Conservation Lands Overview Approximately 30% of all land in the state of Florida is managed for conservation purposes Impact on taxable values associated with lands held in conservation as in 2017 Loss of $531M in County Taxes Loss of $424M in School Taxes If all lands identified in plans set forth by state agencies are acquired Share increases from 30% to 43% Projected cost of future acquisitions $10.6B Projected cost of future land management $172.4M annually 75% State responsibility with 163 year debt service 2 | AIF Water Forum October 5, 2018
