All Sports Arena South Leigh

What Is The All Sports Arena? The proposal is for an inside sports arena based in South Leigh, which would be under the directorship of Mr David Hunt and Mr Craig Dore. The venue would become a community hub for social and recreational activities. The facility would include:- Two 3G 5 a side football pitches A Futsal Court which also converts into 3 indoor professional cricket lanes Viewing area Toilets, changing rooms and showers A studio/meeting/classroom A café/bar Ample car parking

Owners Background Mr Hunt is a qualified FA and cricket coach. He has over 20 years in the sporting business and is a Director of Oxfordshire based Premier Soccer Centres Limited. PSC deliver professional football coaching courses & covers PPA lessons in many primary schools throughout the county covering all sporting activities. Mr Hunt has a long association with Premier League side, Southampton FC. Premier Soccer Centres has run Southampton FC Development Centre in Oxfordshire for the past 12 years which is a direct feed into Southampton’s Academy. Mr Dore was a professional footballer playing for Cardiff City FC & then enjoyed a long semi-pro career with clubs including Worcester City, Oxford City, Brackley Town & Witney Town. He has strong links with many local clubs and players in both football and cricket. Mr Dore also has a strong link with Mark Alleyne, the MCC Head Coach at Lords who has played for England and Gloucester.

What Sports Will Be Playable? There will be a great variety of sports for all age groups and all abilities such as: Football (5 a side, Futsal, walking football, veterans, toddlers, coaching courses and holiday clubs) Cricket (indoor leagues, 3 professional training lanes, coaching courses) Short Mat Bowls Dodge ball Archery Multi Sports courses

Other Facilities A fully equipped kitchen supplying hot and cold refreshments & a range of drinks A heated, fully equipped café lounge bar with large screen TV A viewing gallery in the café lounge bar overlooking the sports pitches A studio which will be available for meetings, conferences, fitness classes and for use as a sports injury clinic. Changing rooms / toilets / shower rooms and disabled facilities.

What will these facilities be used for? Social & competitive leagues Men, women & youth leagues Training for local clubs – adults, boys/girls teams Corporate & private events – pitch and/or studio Meeting facilities for community users Casual & regular games Training workshops in studio Children’s parties Children’s after school coaching courses Children’s school holiday coaching courses

Community opportunities The All Sports Arena could be made available to local Primary and Secondary Schools/Colleges for use during school hours for PE lessons and sporting festivals Use of venue for sporting activities for retired people to increase their physical and social opportunities Opportunity to offer facilities to enable the village to host cricket/football matches Apprenticeship opportunities for young adults to gain a qualification in the sporting/leisure industry Employment opportunities A meeting venue for community organisations
