Volume 130, Issue 2, Pages 577-587 (February 2006) New Developments in Lynch Syndrome (Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer) and Mismatch Repair Gene Testing  Stephen B. Gruber  Gastroenterology  Volume 130, Issue 2, Pages 577-587 (February 2006) DOI: 10.1053/j.gastro.2006.01.031 Copyright © 2006 American Gastroenterological Association Terms and Conditions

Figure 1 A model of human mismatch repair (see text for details). Illustration by Jerry Schoendorf, MAMS. Gastroenterology 2006 130, 577-587DOI: (10.1053/j.gastro.2006.01.031) Copyright © 2006 American Gastroenterological Association Terms and Conditions

Figure 2 Immunohistochemical expression analysis of mismatch repair genes. In this example from a cancer with inactive MLH1, nuclear staining is observed for MSH2 and MSH6, whereas no staining is observed in the colorectal cancer cells for MLH1 or PMS2. Normal stromal staining for MLH1 and PMS2 serves as an internal control.
