Treating Yourself It is important to give yourself breaks and enjoy yourself. Working continuously can really burn you out, and breaks are a great way to recover from a “burnout.”
Checkpoints and Goals Create to-do lists Use calendars/planners Have constant reminders Electronic notifications, post-it notes, alarms Have a timeline Set goals at the beginning of the year Set goals NOW!
Evaluate your progress Refer to your past work Ask peers/mentors for input on your growth Create daily habits Example: Changing your perspective in the mornings
Personal Goals Set at the beginning of the school year (or any time) Develop different types of goals – academic, family, friends, etc. Make goals that help you grow as an individual
Know that goals can take time to achieve! Reflect – self-reflect and ask family/friends Write goals on posters and post-it notes put them around your room & on your mirror to be reminded everyday
