Bellwork 1/24 Solve #1 and then do #2 1.) x + y = 5 2.) 3x + 2y = 12 Now solve them together. x = 2 and y = 3

Change to y = mx + b x + y = 5 y = -x + 5 2x + 3y= 12 y = -2/3x + 4 Now Graph both equations on the same graph.

Graph y = -x + 5 & y = -2/3x + 4 y = -x + 5 y = -2/3x + 4 Solution= (2,3)

Consider the equation y = -3x + 3 They are all solutions to the equation What do you know about every point on the line? X

Find Illegal Radio Station Take 1 reading and draw the line. Take a 2nd reading Find the intersection FW Radio Station

Graph y = 2x -3 & y = -1/2x + 2 y = 2x - 3 y = -1/2x + 2 Solution= (2,1)

Graph y = -x +1 & y = 1/2x + 4 y = 1/2x + 4 y = -x + 1 Solution= (-2,3)

Graph the following on the same graph paper You Try This One y = 1/2x + 4 y = x + 3 Solution = (2,5)

Graph y = 1/2x + 4 & y = x + 3 y = x + 3 y = 1/2x + 4 Solution= (2,5)

Graph the following on the same graph paper You Try This One y = 1/2x + 4 y = x + 1 Solution = (6,7)

Graph y = 1/2x + 4 & y = x + 1 y = x + 1 y = 1/2x + 4 Solution= (6,7)
