Doing Homework Set aside a regular time each day. Ensure that where your child is doing homework is free from distractions. Please remember that homework is your child’s and not yours. Shouldn’t take more than 20 mins – write on homework sheet if difficulty occurs and teacher can check it with them.

Check children’s work is completed – sign the work but do not correct it. We want to see their mistakes – children can traffic light their work to show their teacher how they found it. If they do not have a coloured pencil they can write R A G in a circle. Children are given work that they have been working on at school. Homework is always explained before sent home. Children should know what is expected of them. Bring homework back to school at any point to check with teacher before homework is due if they are unsure of how do complete it.
