What are the goals of El Paso’s HIE strategy? How do we measure success? Improve efficiency? Improvements in quality of care? Improve outcomes? Reduce cost of care? Engaging patients in their care?

How much information is important. Organizations Name/ all orgs or only hospital admissions. Problems. Medications. Allergies. Last Office Visit. Time frame of information?

Workflows / Challenges Patients opt in or out. Educate patients on HIE. Include or exclude mental health and HIV or all or nothing. Do we ask yearly basis for participation. Organizations approach.
