Special Events Semana Santa- Is a Easter celebration week Punta Gorda Festival- It takes place on April 12th to celebrate the settlement of Roatan Feria de San Isidro- Is a Mardi-Gras like festival held in La Ceiba the week before the third Saturday of May Feria Juniana- Is a festival of music, eating, and drinking in San Pedro Sula during the last week of June
Landmarks Mosquito Coast- A sparsely populated area with a few thousand Miskito people still living there and is home to some of the most diverse and hard to navigate ecosystem Bay Islands- They are home to the second largest coral reef in the world and are top areas for snorkeling, diving, and sightseeing trips like whale watching Copan Ruins- They are Mayan ruins on the west side of the country
