N4S Gold Nugget Data Sheet Template ITEM This Gold Nugget Gold nugget name Service Design Tools Purpose The purpose of the tool box is to introduce a service design framework using participatory and co-design tools: a stakeholder mapping tool, a value network mapping tool and a design game(s). Tools can be used in any phase of company cooperation, development and innovation activities. Benefits To reach a mutual understanding of the development aims and current situation between different stakeholders. As a result of using these tools there is also something tangible, tacit and/or visual to return to later – as a memory backup. Required resources Basic understanding of service design approach and digital tools from Post-it tags and paper prototyping to Legos, digital prototyping and service design movies. Experiences and examples / cases Several service design cases implemented by the University of Lapland among the N4S –consortia.
