BEElieve in Yourself! District Convention 2017 Training Event District Convention 2017 Presented by Minghua Ong, Member Relations Chair Domo Soriano, D19S Lt. Governor Wencie Hoang, D26N Lt. Governor

Why is confidence important? Low self-esteem holds us back from reaching our full potential! Think of a time you acted upon someone else’s interest Don’t plan that service event! No one will want to attend it. Don’t buy those clothes! Your friends won’t like it. Don’t listen to that kind of music! It’s not cool enough.

How to Build Self-Esteem! Ask yourself the following questions… Think of a time you acted upon someone else’s interest Am I happy with who I am? How do I view myself? Did you answer negatively? Don’t worry! There are many ways to begin BEElieving in yourself!

Take Action Remember! Everyone has their own insecurities “Everyone has their own unique characteristics that separate us from the other 7 billion people on Earth” has their own insecurities There is a good chance you aren’t the only one in this room who is suffering from low self esteem. “The mirror only shows what you are looking for”

Negative events in which we define ourselves Obstacles Negative events in which we define ourselves Feeling like you’re not good enough Bullying

Combatting these Obstacles The only person whose opinion truly matters is YOURS! What a person says is a projection of their feelings towards you. It may not actually be true. Don’t let anyone’s IGNORANCE, HATE, DRAMA, or NEGATIVITY stop you from becoming the best person you can be.

Our Stories did someone say education

Your Stories Have YOU ever experienced a lack of self esteem? Was there a point in your life when you let someone’s opinions change YOU as a person? Have YOU encountered a situation where your confidence was at an all time low? So many people think you’re awesome and special and worthwhile. Why would you listen to ONE person who thinks you’re not?

Surround yourself with people who will only lift you higher Inspiration The recipe for happiness calls for loving yourself and being less concerned of what others think of you Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice” – Steve Jobs Surround yourself with people who will only lift you higher

Questions? Comments? Concerns? Go for it!
