Activity: Classic Character

Characterization The more Characterization Attributes that are performed, the more “real” the character Team Challenge and Instant Challenge Appraisers should be aware of multiple Attributes teams are addressing in their characters Too much information

Creating Characters Team Managers can encourage teams to address multiple attributes in Instant Challenge and Team Challenge Teams can practice creating well-developed characters using the Choose a Character chart Teams can use the Character Generating Tool to produce characters that are real to the audience I split this slide and the previous slide differently than in the Talking Points

Steps to Stronger Performance Skills Watch good performances Discuss What the actors did How they sounded How they moved Discuss techniques your team can develop Practice those skills

Evaluating / Improving Performance Skills In what ways were you better than last time? In what ways might you improve? Are your characters believable? In what ways might you improve your overall performance? PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE
