Terms of Reference: Learning Review of the AIM Fundamentals Workshop Background: The ECB Interagency Standing Team is a group of accountability and impact measurement experts who are available to assist the ECB consortia and other groups to build their capacity related to joint needs assessments and accountability to beneficiaries. In addition, they are available to conduct joint evaluations of humanitarian responses. The Standing Team members were trained in the AIM fundamentals at a workshop held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Unfortunately, several Standing Team members could not attend. A smaller group of Standing Team members were invited to attend the Joint Evaluations workshop in Casablanca, and this group included many who did not attend the Jakarta workshop (“newbies”). In order to understand some of the major topics covered in the AIM Fundamentals workshop and to discover the major learning points of those who attended, the “newbies” will conduct a learning review with the “oldies.” Objective: Standing Team members who did not attend the Jakarta workshop will understand the main topics covered and some of the key learning of those who did.

Methodology: The “newbies” will use several typical data collection tools (at least 2) to consult two main data sources: The Jakarta workshop blog The “oldies” present in Casablanca Presentation of Findings: The “newbies” will present to the facilitators and the “oldies,” as well as anyone watching the live webcast, the following: The data collection tools utilized, including the reasons why they were chosen and in what way each uncovered different kinds of information. The main findings of main topics and key learnings. Schedule: The “newbies” will organize a schedule to fit the following activities within 1 hour: Determine what are the appropriate tools for the exercise. Divide group into teams to use each tool. Come together to analyze findings. Prepare a report. The following 20 minutes will be devoted to presenting the findings.
