Definitions What is the text book definition of the following terms (Glossary): Weather – combination of temperature, precipitation, cloud cover, and winds experienced daily Climate – weather conditions of a place averaged over a long period of time

Why does Canada’s climate have so much variety? Remember: Canada is a very large country; it extends for a great distance from North to South and East to West Different elevations produce different climate conditions Coastal regions have different climates from inland regions Wind and pressure systems move weather conditions from one part of the country to another
