A line plot is a diagram that shows the frequency of data on a number line. An “X” is placed above a number on a number line each time a number repeats. Example:
Steps for making a Line Plot: Step 1: Write numbers from least to greatest. Step 2: Draw a number line. You start with the smallest number on the list and stop at the biggest number. Do not skip numbers unless you write the numbers in intervals. Step 3: Put an “X” above the number that it represents.
