Presentation transcript:

Fabry-Perot Resonator Transmission of a Fabry-Perot Resonator This slideshow demonstrates how the transmission through a plane-plane-plane Fabry-Perot resonator, as a function of optical frequency, is affected by its finesse. Start the slideshow and use the left and right arrow keys to select the finesse, shown in the upper right corner of each slide. The peaks are separated in optical frequency by the Free Spectral Range (FSR) of the resonator , c/2L (where c is the speed of light and L is the distance between mirrors).
