Character Strong WITH MR. STOOKEY & MR. McGOWAN MONDAY & TUESDAY YOU NEED: Work to do during Study Hall Time Reading Book (if no work)

1 ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE 3 STUDY HALL 2 ACTIVITY

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR TODAY 2 MINUTES TO THINK OF ONE SAME RULES APPLY (explain to Mr. Stookey & Mr. McGowan the rules) SOPHIE STARTS – THEN CALLS ON SOMEONE USING FIRST NAME THEY SHARE – THEN CALL ON THE NEXT PERSON…REPEAT

MONDAY’S ACTIVTY 2 TRUTHS + 1 LIE Take out a scratch piece of paper Think of two true statements about yourself and one lie Write them down in random order on the paper Take turns reading them out loud and having the class guess which one is the lie Be Creative. Stay away from, “I like pizza, I like corn, I like pears. Which one is the lie?” Instead, do some like Ms. Butson “I can snort dental floss up my nose and pull it out of my mouth, I have never broken a bone, I flew to England by myself in third grade. Which one is the lie?” (I’ll tell you when I return )

TUESDAY’S ACTIVTY ZOOM Move your chairs so that you are all facing the center of a circle Mr. McGowan will hand out a picture to each student Do not show others your picture!!!!!!!!!!!!! One student starts by telling a story and incorporates what is on their picture into the story. After two-ish minutes of telling a story, pass to the next student. The next student continues the story, incorporating their photo, and so on.
