We run the Incredible Years Parenting Programme across Telford & Wrekin, for parents of pre-school children up to secondary age. The programmes can be taken in the day or in the evening (according to demand) to fit around you. All courses run for 12 weeks in school term and take 2½ hours per week. NEED MORE SUPPORT? If you need support in accessing the group Children & Family Locality Services are happy to discuss your needs. (please see contact details on the back of this leaflet) “We all need a little helping hand at some time in our life” WHAT IS TO BE EXPECTED OF A PARENT ON A PROGRAMME? The Parenting Programmes are informal there are no desks or writing, just a little home practice every week with your children. The programme is both challenging and fun. Everyone is an expert on their own child and everyone has ideas and advice to offer. The 12 Parenting sessions make up the Incredible Years Parenting Programme. This is an internationally recognised programme, that has been running for over 20 years. “Parents who have completed the course feel better and can see their children’s behaviour improve” WHAT PART OF THE PROGRAMME WAS MOST HELPFUL TO YOU “How to play different, How to approach situations better” “I found it all helpful but the group talks were the biggest help” “The nurturing!!!! “Relaxed atmosphere, meeting other parents discovering how my child thinks”
