HUNGER GAMES VOCABULARY #1

AMIABLE *Adjective Definition: friendly and pleasant

ARROGANCE *Noun Definition: an insulting way of thinking or behaving that comes from believing that you are better, smarter, or more important than other people

BARBARISM *Noun Definition: cruel and violent behavior

DYSTOPIAN *Noun Definition: an imaginary place where people are unhappy and usually afraid because they are not treated fairly

ELUSIVE *Adjective Definition: hard to find or capture

HUMBLE Adjective Definition: not thinking of yourself as better than other people

REAPING Verb Definition: To cut and collect

SOLITARY Adjective Definition: without anyone or anything else

TRAITOR Noun Definition: a person who is not loyal to his or her own country, friends, etc.

TRIBUTE Noun Definition: money or goods that a ruler or country gives to another ruler or country especially for protection
