Transportation Transportation is offered and free to all Academy students. Students are picked up from their closest Elementary School campus in the morning and dropped off in the afternoon. If students participate in after school activities, it is the parent’s responsibility to pick them up or arrange their transportation.

Athletic Disclaimer Any student attending an academy outside of the attendance zone in which he/she resides, will be ineligible for varsity athletic competition for one calendar year. They can still participate in sports their freshman year.

Applicant Requirements Academy Selection Criteria Success on all sections of the 7th grade STAAR Currently residing within Fort Bend ISD boundaries Currently in the 8th grade Academy Selection Criteria 7th grade semester grades in Math, Science, SS, ELA 8th grade semester grades in Math, Science, SS, ELA Academy entrance interview

Current FBISD Students Application Process Log on to https://secure.fortbendisd.com/academyapp Current FBISD Students Non-FBISD Students Sign in using your Student User ID & PW (just like you would into a school computer) Sign up using your email address and password Answer All Questions Address, parent information, and zoned campus are automatically pulled from Skyward Input your address, parent information, and zoned campus information Select the Academy(ies) for which you wish to apply Select the priority of each academy (1, 2, 3, …) No additional documentation is needed IF you did not attend an FBISD school in 7th grade, upload a PDF copy of 7th grade report card and 7th standardized test scores. Upload a PDF copy of the 7th grade report card and the 7th grade standardized test scores. Hit the Submit button to submit your application

Academy Interview One interview for three academies: Global Studies Academy International Business & Marketing Academy Digital Media Academy Spring Semester Student/Parent Email – Application Email Reminder – With assigned interview window Interview Overview: Panel comprised of FBISD employees 5-7 minutes in length 1st question provided via email notification

Final Acceptance Is contingent upon: Successful completion of all 8th grade courses during the academic school year Successful completion of all parts of the 8th Grade STAAR exam, EOC, or equivalent (if non-FBISD)
