I’ve been asked to speak about Medication Labels…then, now, with a look to the future. Honor to pause and look back at where we were in 2004 when the IOM report was released. This really is a topic that has involved multiple stakeholders and one where the iOM has had a very critical role in convening these various constituencies to discuss and consider optoins for improvement. Of note, Over the next few minutes, I’ll give you my thoughts on the various stakeholders/the components of medication labels and how they were viewed as an issue ripe for the lens of health literacy.
