ACT Prep Packet for homework CLO: Today you will, orally, justify your opinion using content from the book to support your opinion and question in a socratic seminar with expanding discussion card questions and phrases such as “While ________ makes a good point, it appears to me that…” or “I would like to challenge that idea by saying that…”

Socratic Seminar – This is your unit project for Macbeth! Get out your question (homework assigned from 4/8/15) Use this question, your book, and the discussion cards (optional) to guide a free-form discussion on the play Macbeth. Each circle will receive 15-20 minutes for discussion. Inner circle: discuss any idea, character, event, etc. in Macbeth A = speaking 5-7 times B = speaking 3-4 times C = speaking 2 times D = speaking 1 time F = no speaking Outer circle: tally the number of times the assigned student in the inner circle spoke; Circle the appropriate grade on the “evaluator” side
