Language Arts Day 1 Level Skill 4 I can analyze a historical document and synthesize from it a brief historical fiction. 3 I can identify and analyze, on my own or by collaborating with others, a historical document and describe the type of source it will provide for research. 2 I can properly identify key features and ideas of a particular historical document and summarize the document in a collaboration with others. 1 I can define primary and secondary source, and describe what constitute first- and second-hand accounts. I can explain why written records are important to the study of history.

I can identify a map as a primary or secondary source.
