Rating Scale for Preceptors What does this mean? Example Satisfactory Student is ready for clinical application with minimal supervision. Procedure was performed accurately. Student made corrections without injury to the patient or decreasing effect of therapy being given. The student completed the handwashing technique performing all the steps properly. Minor Unsatisfactory Student needs to review fundamental concepts or requires re-evaluation of minor deficiencies. A who student did not wash hands long enough needs to be re-evaluated on this step only. Major Unsatisfactory Student requires additional supervised clinical practice and complete re-evaluation of the entire procedure. The student who did not wash hands after a procedure needs re-evaluation on the entire procedure. aviston
