Men NEEDED In The Church!

Men NEEDED In The Church Men who are godly examples to their own children and others! Titus 2:1-2, 6 Titus 2:1 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: 2 that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; Titus 2:6 Likewise exhort the young men to be sober-minded,

Men NEEDED In The Church Men who are godly examples to their own children and others! Titus 2:1-2, 6 Men who are interested in teaching others, like Aquila! Acts 18:24-28 Acts 18:24 ¶ Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25 This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John.26 So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.27 And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace;28 for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.

Men NEEDED In The Church Men who are godly examples to their own children and others! Titus 2:1-2, 6 Men who are interested in teaching others, like Aquila! Acts 18:24-28 Men who are willing to suffer for God, like Christ and the apostles! 1 Peter 2:21-24; 3:18; 4:1 2 Cor. 11:22-30

1Pe 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22 "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.

Men NEEDED In The Church Men who have known scriptures from an early age, like Timothy! 2 Tim. 1:5-12; 2 Tim. 3:16-18 2Tim. 1:5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. 6 ¶ Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

Men NEEDED In The Church Men who have known scriptures from an early age, like Timothy! 2 Tim. 1:5-12; 2 Tim. 3:16-18 Men who love their wives as Christ loved the church! Eph. 5:25-32; Col. 3:19; 1 Peter 3:7 1Pe 3:7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

Men NEEDED In The Church Men who have known scriptures from an early age, like Timothy! 2 Tim. 1:5-12; 2 Tim. 3:16-18 Men who love their wives as Christ loved the church! Eph. 5:25-32; Col. 3:19; 1 Peter 3:7 Men who desire the office of an elder and are scripturally qualified! 1Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9

Divine Qualifications - Bishop/Elder/Shepherd 1 Timothy 3:1-7 Titus 1:5-9 Desire the office Blameless Husband of one wife Vigilant, sober Of good behavior Hospitable Able to teach Not given to wine Not a striker (violent) Not greedy for money Patient Not a brawler or covetous Ruleth his own house well Children in subjection Not a novice (young covert) Of good report of those without Must be appointed Blameless Husband of one wife Have faithful children Not self-willed Not soon angry Not given to wine No Striker Not given to filthy lucre Lover of hospitality Lover of good men Sober, just, holy, temperate Holding fast the faithful word Able to exhort and convince Divine Qualifications - Bishop/Elder/Shepherd

Men NEEDED In The Church Men who can pass the trials and tests of obedience, like Abraham! Gen. 12:1-4; cf. Heb. 11:8-10 Gen. 22:1-18; cf. Heb. 11:17-19 Gen 12:1 ¶ Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."4 ¶ So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

There Can Be Both Needed Men and Those That Are Not! It is up to each of us men to determine if we are needed in the Kingdom or not. Do not let your efforts be in vain.

God Expects Certain Things From Men! 1Cor. 16:13 ¶ Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Not all Males are Men! Not all Men are Godly!
