KDE Math Connections In order to be more responsive to the needs of Kentucky math educators, a mailbox KDEmath@education.ky.gov has been created and is monitored by Frankfort-based math consultants. CIITS - “CIITS Item Issues Form.” This document can be found on the CIITS homepage. Users complete the form when an issue is found and send the form to kdeciitsmailbox@education.ky.gov CIITS team is working with Schoolnet and ACT to have QualityCore items inserted into the CIITS item bank. This would be all 12 QualityCore content areas including Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2.

Visualizing Mathematics Wiki KDE consultants are working on a Visualizing Mathematics wiki for teachers. The initial focus is on grades K-8 standards support and instructional resources. HS will be added to the site. It is not quite up and running yet, but look for access soon.

KDE math webpages KDE consultants are working to organize and revise the KDE math webpages material. The pages are now organized by content first then by school level: pre-school, elementary, middle and high. Much work is needed on the pages. Most information and resources will placed in CIITS or on the wikispace.

K-PREP Data is Available The easiest way to access information is to go to the homepage, under initiatives, click the “School Report Card”. You can also go to Open House for additional information and historical data. “School Report Card” can be accessed through the Open House portal, right hand side of homepage.. If possible go to School Report Card and Open House with the group. OR
